Did you know Atari Legend is fully responsive and mobile ready? You want this site to behave like an app on your phone or tablet? Simply open the site in your favorite browser and look for the 'Add to homescreen' button. In Safari on IOS, first press the 'share' icon, then the "Add to home screen" pop-up appears. In Chrome on Android, you press the button at the top right, and select 'add to homescreen'. Something about Terramex screams "Budget game". The presentation is typically adequate and no more, and the gameplay, while entertaining enough, isn't particularly epic. The selection of five characters more or less serves as a gimmick, the choice affecting nothing other than the player sprite and the solution to a single room in the game.March 15, 2005 by indigo

With names slightly altered to protect the developer from a law suit, the game features Michael Jackson and Kylie Minogue parodies and a host of other eighties personalities.

Unlike the games that had gone before it, Sierra had included a mouse movement system and a new improved Parser interface (allowing nearly all words to be understood by the game). Imagine waking in a cell which to your delight is momentarily unlocked, outside an alien planet- full of wonderful cities to explore. But how do you get to them? Walking or running would take hours- luckily this culture has introduced the useful idea of public transport. Taking a taxi to the spaceport lets you take in the sights while the driver happily gives you a quick insight into the local and system-wide news. Finally arriving at your destination, you sit in the space shuttle cockpit behind the pilot and watch nervously as you blast off into space, and then you think- I did all that in the five minutes? We have all seen top-down shoot-em-ups before. But presented with the choice of having your character aided either by lets say- your best mate or directly controlled by the computer AI, the co-operative nature of the game was at the time unsurpassed. What also made this game unique was the scale of the playing area, while exploring a single level it could take you hours to eventually find all the secrets- a tribute to the deviousness of its creators.
Robin's career in game design and computer graphics got triggered by the release of 3D Construction Kit. After his first few releases as shareware and licenseware, it was time to go into a more commercial route. Read interview of Robin BallIn the mid 80's Atari was approached by a company called Nintendo. They asked if Atari was interested in distributing their new 8 bit system. At that time, Jack Tramiel was head of the Atari company. He declined the offer, saying Atari wanted to stop releasing consoles and focus on personal computers instead! So in the end, Nintendo had to distribute the consoles themselves ... In just a few months, they wiped Atari from the throne!
