One of the first ever released vertical shoot 'em up scrollers for the Atari ST, Goldrunner is known for its ultra fast action and slick presentation. And strangely, after this release, no other game ever managed to do the scrolling as well as in Goldrunner. The game was programmed by Pete Lyon and Steve Bak, who called themselves "The Dream Team", and it shows. Responsible for other classics such as "Leatherneck" and "Return to Genesis", the latter being a horizontal shooter of the same caliber. October 12, 2001 by Lorenzo
Basically, you' ll spend your time travelling between settlements, trying to recruit new members, destroy enemy vehicles and blow up enemy controlled warehouses and synth plants. At the start of the game you control 16 power plants; once they' ve all fallen under control of general Master' s troops, you' ve lost the game. Your main task, instead, is to reach general Master' s headquarters on the south eastern end of the island and blow 'em up, but it won' t be easy...October 1, 2001 by Lorenzo
Ok, so Viz is a... how would I describe it? A racing game? An arcade? Well, let's put it like this: based on a popular British (adult) comic strip, this game features three quite disgusting guys trying to run to the end of the level, while avoiding obstacles of a not-so-hilarious nature.October 1, 2001 by Lorenzo
A major hit on the old Commodore 64, California Games was an incredibly stunning game for 1987 standards. It managed to recreate perfectly all those californian clicheès: those hot breezes, the sea, the sun, sand between your toes... anyway, this is an extremely enjoyable multi-event sports sim in the good ol' Epyx fashion, probably the best one ever produced.September 8, 2001 by Lorenzo
OK, I think all of you guys have already seen the movie at least 3 or 4 times, but if you haven' t here' s a brief summary of the plot: in 1938 Adolf Hitler, his sights still set on ancient artifacts, has his henchmen searching the globe for the holy grail. You are Indiana Jones, son of the famous archaeologist Henry Jones, and an archaeologist and adventurer yourself. When your father disappears, on his lifelong quest for the Grail, you pick up where he left off, hoping to reach the sacred cup before the nazis do, and possibly rescue dad in the process...
Today, we are having a chat with one of the most talented personalities in the Atari scene. Known as Templeton, Sébastien Lucas is an insane graphic designer and a programming genius. He is best known for his work on Cerebral Vortex productions, but he has also joined forces with Dune and the Dead Hacker Society. If you're wondering who created those incredible designs for the Sea of Colour demo, look no further. But the man has more tricks up his sleeve. He is also the creator of several games and conversions, like Crash Time Plumber or Supa Zazai Da. Two games ST Graveyard reviewed this year. So, Templeton gladly agreed to do this interview ... And we hope you will have as much fun reading his answers, as we had asking the questions. Oh, and by the way, this is a joint interview by myself and ST Graveyard. Our first, and we hope to bring more cool stuff in the future.

Read interview of Sébastien Lucas"So we went to Atari and said, 'Hey, we've got this amazing thing, even built with some of your parts, and what do you think about funding us? Or we'll give it to you. We just want to do it. Pay our salary, we'll come work for you.' And they said, 'No.' So then we went to Hewlett-Packard, and they said, 'Hey, we don't need you. You haven't got through college yet.'" -- Apple Computer Inc. founder Steve Jobs, on attempts to get Atari and HP interested in his and Steve Wozniak's personal computer
