Hello,
Today we got a juicy surprice for you all. An interview with the man who must have made the most shareware/freeware games on the ST ... Dave Munsie. Read all about his history in computer games, why he never released commercial games and when oh when his Choplifter game will see the light of day ...

Yesterday a new version of SainT with Pasti support was published. Today the Pasti DLL reaches the version 0.2e (still beta release). Remember Pasti allows to run protected games and demos. The Pasti images have .stx extension. At the moment, just a few images are available but no doubt the collection of .STX files will grow once the Pasti-imager will be released officially.
The author Ijor wrote:
A new version of Pasti Dll has been released. Version 0.2e integrates a couple of bug fixes. One of them is important for running certain images under Saint.
Just Download the new Pasti DLL, uncompress it and put it in the directory of SainT or Steem.

The new version of SainT supports now the Pasti images (=images of protected disks). Here are the latest changes:
- Beta PASTI disk image support! Run original Union-Demo! (Get the PASTI.DLL at http://pasti.fxatari.com)
- Bug fix in directory files treeview (sometimes folders appaired dupplicated)
- Beta prefetching code rewritten. Some demos/games are now working (Union demo, original Xenon2), and some demos may crash with that version. (ex FlashBack by TCB)
Get now the latest version of SainT the Pasti DLL and just test it!

Since we have recently obtained the agreement of editors such as Generation 5 and Myriad, we have uploaded more games on the site. We still try to contact editors, authors and publishers, so we all expect for more downloads in the next weeks.
Also thanks to kind answers we received from people of Generation 5, Myriad, Lankhor, Carraz, etc. We really appreciate your help and your agreement. Keep the oldies alive!

Hello ST fans,
Some of you might have noticed that we have started to release our own cracks overhere at Atari Legend. We have released a few games so far (labelled 'game of the weekend' and 'game of the week'
. And now we have opened up a seperate page in the game section called The Vault. This will be the place we're you'll find those rare games we have dug up. So you don't have to bother looking up the game using the search features, just simply click the Vault link at the top of the page!
Oh, and of course, these games are made available with permission by the authors!
Enjoy it, and have a great weekend everybody!

As the forum was down, Gunstick didn't publish his record until today. It's a pity: he managed to beat the old record by Leonard with 238 sprites on the screen!
30 sprites more, and he could reach the current record (268 by Leonard again). Let's the contest continue ![]()
Finally it's a nice new screen by the mythic ULM. And... Gunstick announce also a forthcoming demo!
Download now the 238 sprites demo by Unlimited Matricks.
Anyway, about 12 years ago, around the same time of the year, most of us were all anxiously awaiting "Judgement Day" (and than I'm talking about the second movie of course). The first rumors of a computer game were also surfacing, and since this was a big film license, the game would be released by Ocean (or what did you expect). Hopes were getting very high indeed ...

Read the review of Terminator 2 - Judgment DayIn the mid 80's Atari was approached by a company called Nintendo. They asked if Atari was interested in distributing their new 8 bit system. At that time, Jack Tramiel was head of the Atari company. He declined the offer, saying Atari wanted to stop releasing consoles and focus on personal computers instead! So in the end, Nintendo had to distribute the consoles themselves ... In just a few months, they wiped Atari from the throne!
