A new version of Thalion game DragonFlight is available. According to Udo Fischer, here are the modifications:
- removed a copy protection check which was left in the emulator version unintentionally...
this led to the 'Game-over' sequence when entering 'King Halfton'.
- added the 'Wordlist' with all the words which might be asked as 'extra adventure'. It's directly a part of the source code but I think you will find the appropriate words...
Download DragonFlight v1.1 and feel free to visit Thalion Webshrine.

Aktiv8 FTP compilations were done back in the year 1998. Dunno how far they were spread (I had never seen them). Aktiv8 is just coming to post them, and has corrected some bugs. The disks don't contain rare stuffs, but they are themselve rare & nicely made so we mention them here.
Aktiv8 disk #1 contains:
- Maniac Mansion
- Jet Set Willy
- Robocop
Aktiv9 disk #2 contains:
- Super Starioland
- Stario's Christmas
- Michigan Mike & the lost city of Zorog
Download Aktiv8 menu #1 and menu #2.

ljbk (aka Paulo Simoes) has posted yesterday three new (un)limited screens. This time the demos display 1000, 1500 and 2000 sprites on 512 KB machines or more. Also ljbk writes that he is able to display 2900 sprites on 512 KB and almost 7000 sprites on 1 MB machines! Unfortunately he doesn't want to release this demos because the screen looks more and more as an unlimited sprites screen because you don't see the clearing effect. Anyway the new 2000 sprites is a very good demo! It's probably a new record although it can't contest with Leonard'one.
Get the new limited screens now.

Hello all,
GT Turbo (from the Cerebral Vortex team) has send us a little preview from the upcoming falcon game Poong.
This is what the guys have to say about the release :
This program is the intro of Poong, our next game.
This is a Falcon product, for trying you must have
- 1 Falcon (That's better !)
- 2 Meg of ram (I think ?!?)
- a RVB screen (No Vga init for the moment !)
- a enough big screen coz 640*250 resol !!
This is only the intro for letting you waiting until the game will be finished. The music used in this one, is only here for trying the soundtracker routine (Dnt-Crew), it was taken from the Fading Twilight (Tscc) compilation.
Enjoy or lame !!!
The Cerebral Vortex team.....
There you have it. Oh, you can download it here.
Enjoy
When I hear the name "Pang" , I'm not only thinking of an addictive, little game with big balls...I'm also reminiscing of summer evenings with friends (the summers that seemed to last forever), playing this game as a team. One particular friend that, sadly enough, passed away about two years ago.

Read the review of Pang"So we went to Atari and said, 'Hey, we've got this amazing thing, even built with some of your parts, and what do you think about funding us? Or we'll give it to you. We just want to do it. Pay our salary, we'll come work for you.' And they said, 'No.' So then we went to Hewlett-Packard, and they said, 'Hey, we don't need you. You haven't got through college yet.'" -- Apple Computer Inc. founder Steve Jobs, on attempts to get Atari and HP interested in his and Steve Wozniak's personal computer
