No: the Replicants haven't hacked any new game recently! They're not back on scene! But one of the first members of the team answered some of our questions. Who is he? I let you discover his nickname and his work here.
Thank to the whole Atari Legend team for his help in translating and checking the interview.
This member of the Replicants was also one of the developers of a very rare game (in French) for the small company Legend Software. This game entitled 89 La Revolution Francaise was lost until today... But one our friend, Shadow from Belgium, sent it recently! Thanks to him, you can downloaded it now. He got all my recognition for his help ;-)
Stay tuned for more news in the next days!

There's a scent of holiday in the air!
It's time to regenerate, to sunbathen, to travel over the world... but it's time to code some stuffs for the scene, too!
We decided to co-organize a new challenge with ryo. Here are the rules:
1. The whole demo must be coded in a form of BASIC such as GFA, Omikron, STOS or any others out there on the Atari ST.
2. Only sound routines (chip, soundtrack) can be coded in another non-BASIC language. Although if you're good with the XBIOS(32) command, we expect some excellent music too
3. Screen may be converted from any of the famous demos (Cuddly Demos, European Demos, Mindbomb Demo, etc.) but it can also be a new and original production.
4. There is no size limit of the final file. Other than it should fit on a double-sided disk.
5. The demo has to be 1MB STFM/STE compatible.
6. You have to send the demo (source code & compiled) to the following address: contest@atari-forum.com
Beginning of the challenge: June 25th, 2007.
End of the challenge: December 31th, 2007.
All the .prg screens will be submited to Atari-Forum users. Feel free to discuss about this challenge on the forum.
A compilation of all productions may appear after the results.
Good luck to everyone and enjoy the holiday!

Hi I'd like to tell everyone about my new Atari related site, Forgotten Creations.
Its home to many of my old STOS projects - games, mostly unfinished, that never quite saw the light of day. I hope someone enjoys reading it
If you have any half-finished projects that would otherwise get forgotten, then get in contact and we can discuss hosting them here too. Screenshots, some description, and possibly disk image / source code for download would be required.
Enjoy!

There's another new patch out there for the DemobaseST fans. This latest one (weighing in at a mere 71 megabytes!) brings your total of demo screens up to 2700!
So go visit the site and download the latest upgrade patch, sit back and just watch some of the best demos that ever graced our lovely machine!
Take me to DemoBaseST HQ!

Thothy (Hatari developer) wrote:
Hatari version 0.95 has been released. This release brings you basic Atari TT and Falcon emulation! Please note that both new emulation modes are still highly experiemental, some few games and demos work, but most still have more or less big problems. Basic emulation of Falcon video shifter (Videl), NVRAM and DMA sound is in place. The biggest drawback: There is no working Falcon DSP emulation yet.
Other things that have been added / fixed:
- Screen/Shifter emulation timings have slightly been changed. Some things now work better, some others work worse...
- Some patches for compiling on RiscOS and AmigaOS have been included.
- Compiling Hatari for Windows now works better.
- Added Hatari icon (hatari-icon.bmp).
- Fixed "movec" bug in 68020 CPU mode.
- Keyboard shortcuts for loading & saving memory snapshots (AltGr+k & AltGr+l).
- The built-in debugger has been slightly improved to be more user-friendly.
- Added "hmsa" tool - a little program for converting .MSA files to .ST and vice versa.
You can download the source code and binaries (for Linux/i86 and Windows) from the official Hatari website.
Last but not least, a Windows binary has been compiled by Ecureuil. You can find it by clicking on this link.
Run. Jump. Kill. Avoid bullets. Kill. And so on, but if you' re looking for a relaxing ol' shooter that requires little or no mental effort, then don' t look any further.

Read the review of Midnight ResistanceRumours say the operating system of the ST, called TOS, is short for "Tramiel Operating System".
