Zone Warrior

Once again, pesky aliens are giving us Earthlings lots of grief. We previously fought them off but they managed to pinch a time machine so are using that to alter history and wreak havoc by taking crucial hostages from each period in an attempt to halt their influence. From the invention of the wheel in prehistoric times to England's King Arthur uniting Britain! And where would any of us be today without Japan and its technical wizardry? Yep, we cannot allow this - the fight is on!

What an accomplishment this game is. Created with such a small team, the result is really amazing. The game oozes creative passion. While the gameplay is really well balanced, it is a tough cookie, very hard from time to time with its moments of sheer frustration. As of level 3, timing becomes key. You will need to practice and learn the levels to complete this game, there are so many bad guys on screen it sometimes gets a bit hard to take.

Graphically, it's also nice on the eyes with well-defined graphics and animation. You really get the feeling that the developers put some thought and love into the game. Remember what I said about the large levels? Well these are wonderful and are very different to each other, they also scroll fairly smooth in all four directions.

Did you know?

The name "Atari" comes from a move in the ancient game of Go, a favorite of founder Nolan Bushnell.

Based on an old Arcade machine and not one I am familiar with but this is well programmed and the Robot voices are well done. Programmed in GFA Basic like many Shareware titles but this is one of the good ones.

NeepieLantern Battle Bound
Graphics are top notch and the sound is also high quality but the gameplay is as dull as ditchwater and just a mindless slog of trudging throwing axes falling down holes and getting annoyed at the bad controls. Not much fun I'm afraid

NeepieLantern Balls Up
You would never know this was done in STOS as it is very slick and one of the best PD games I have played. You have to guide a ball by placing arrows and commands a bit like a program to tell the ball what you want to do and it works very well and makes for a great game.

NeepieLantern Back to the Future III
Runs much slower than the Amiga version which in my case makes it easier to play as I found it a bit too fast paced and actually managed to get through the first part whcih I hadn't done previously. Graphics are top notch and the sound is good too with a typical set of Wild West tunes such as Ghost Riders in the sky

NeepieLantern Axel's Magic Hammer
Good graphics and sound but the gameplay is a bit lacking and maybe just not my cup of tea as I am not really big on platformers but definitely not a bad game just not a lot of fun for some reason.

NeepieLantern Avina Blue
Graphics are pretty basic but in a charming 8 bit sort of way and the gameplay is extremely fast paced and you need lightning reflexes to guide your ship through the meandering maze of corridors. A bit too frantic for my tastes but not a bad game.

Nice little platformer which is evocative of old arcade machine games like Donkey Kong and Mario with simple 8 bit looking graphics but good gameplay.

NeepieLantern Archipelagos
I love this one and it has such a haunting soundtrack which is absolutely top of the tree as far as ST Music goes. The whole concept of the game is different but in a good way and it reminds me a bit of the Sentinel which is another old classic I adore.

NeepieLantern Arcadia ST
For a SEUCK game isn't too bad but the ship is too large and too easy to get trapped and the wave patterns are too predictable but has as much good points as bad I would say.

This program uses numerology to pick "lucky" Lotto numbers. To use it you will need a set of Tarot cards (obtainable at most book stores). I prefer the Thoth Tarot, but any set will do. In any Tarot deck there is a set of twenty-two cards called the Major Arcana. It is these cards you will need.
