Atari ST version is a poor conversion of the PC. Simple graphics, awful sound, quite slow sometimes.. seems like an amateurs job. The Amiga version on the other hand is much much better. I played Amiga version (finished) and ST version almost finished it. Nice puzzles, nice plot, a very funny game... I still remember finishing Monkey Island on my Amiga, the scene that asks u what u have to say after all.. answer I never gonna pay again 15 $ for a Lucas game hahaha

At least its there to remid the good old days

Considered to be an alltime classic on any plattform

I personally just don't get the point! That sort of humour is not mine - and if you don't get that, the puzzles make no sense.

As usual, Lucasfilm didn't spend much effort on the Atari ST conversion. As a result, unlike the Amiga conversion, it was given the EGA-graphics and basically only a YM version of the PC speaker soundtrack.

The EGA-graphics however have been made by Marc Ferrari (see Loom). Since EGA is bad on dark scenes, the graphics for Melee Island are a bit poor, but the later, more colourful graphics on Monkey Island are pretty good.

The game shows an animated intro screen and plays better on accelerated machines (16MHz).

Rumours say the operating system of the ST, called TOS, is short for "Tramiel Operating System".
