Ask any chess aficionado what their favourite chess game was for the ST and it's very likely you won't get the same answer twice. Yes, there are that many!

This ranks among the top of the crop though. It might not have fancy gfx, sound fx or gimics like some of its peers but this is no bad thing in a chess simulator! A nice clear interface and good A.I. are what matters most in this genre, and this game has both. I also particularly like that you see the computer search through its list of possible moves before making a decision.

verdict: This is a solid chess simulator, and a personal favourite of mine.
